Groundbreaking and Ribbon Cutting at the Church Women United Thrift Shop

Last Updated 5/20/2026

The Trenton Area Chamber of Commerce proudly joined Church Women United Thrift Shop for a ribbon-cutting and groundbreaking ceremony celebrating their upcoming building expansion at 1705 Harris Avenue.

The project will add valuable retail, storage, recycling, and volunteer processing space while improving ADA accessibility for shoppers and volunteers. Church Women United continues to make a lasting impact by providing affordable essentials to the community and supporting local organizations, schools, scholarships, and individuals with special needs through proceeds from the thrift shop.

Thank you to everyone who attended and to the dedicated volunteers helping make this exciting project possible for Grundy County and surrounding communities!

Cash donations and memorials are appreciated and can be mailed to 1705 Harris Avenue. If honoring a person, please list the person's name in the memo.
