Our Father-Daughter Dance is held annually in April. Daddies (and Honorary Daddies) and daughters (ages 3 to 12) get dressed up and enjoy an evening of dancing. The community is welcome to watch the Grand March. After that, we ask that the daddies be given the time to enjoy the rest of the evening with their little princesses.
Each year, the Chamber Ambassadors host a Trick-or-Treat night at the Historical Rock Barn on the last Monday night in October. This gives the area children a safe place to go to collect candy and other goodies. It is a very fun occasion and well-liked by the community. If your business is interested in participating or donating, don't hesitate to get in touch with us here at the Chamber.
The child MUST be present to receive a bag of treats. Tables are set up inside the Rock Barn and are sponsored by local businesses, who also provide the candy or goodies. Business owners (or designated sponsors) are encouraged to dress up according to a specific theme of your choice.
The Trenton Area Chamber of Commerce has hosted a food drive since 2011. The donations collected go to our local Grundy County Food Pantry. We believe that having the drive in the summer helps fill in where the pantry may be lacking, as most donations are received around Thanksgiving and Christmas time.
Chamber Ambassadors and Board Members are all very good at volunteering their time (and a couple of them volunteer their vehicles) to sit for an hour and a half each shift to accept donations. We are very grateful for their time and efforts.
This fun evening includes a dinner and some great entertainment. Don’t miss it!
The Annual Banquet is held to honor our Chamber members and the community we support. Each year awards are given out: Pillar of the Community, Organization of the Year and Business of the Year.
More information to come regarding future Annual Banquets
We are honored and proud to hold recognition ceremonies for our seasoned and new members. For our new members, we are so happy to share in the excitement of your grand opening! A photo is taken at the Ribbon Cutting and shared on the Trenton Area Chamber of Commerce's social media for all to enjoy.
For our long-standing members, we do the same for you with a recognition ceremony celebrating the number of years in business in the community. We are so grateful for our members and we want to show our support for each of you. Please contact us if you’re interested in having a ribbon-cutting ceremony or a recognition ceremony.
Community Pride is a week set aside each spring to clean up our community. We encourage community members to pitch in to help clean up all areas of Trenton by picking up trash and disposing of all trash in the proper manner.
Homeowners can help by cleaning up the areas around their homes. The Chamber Ambassadors and Board Members work together to clean up 9th Street from Southern Bank to Highway 65. Community Pride Week is also a great opportunity for organizations like Boy and Girl Scouts to earn badges.
Thank you for all your help in cleaning up our community! Pitch in this coming year to help make our community shine!
