Trenton Rotary Club leading the collection process for donations for a Community Firework Show in July
A group of local organizations, led by the Trenton Rotary Club, is collecting donations to fund a community fireworks show in July.
Representatives from the Rotary Club, the North Missouri Community Development Alliance, and the Trenton Convention and Visitors Bureau are contacting past donors to again contribute to fund the show, which is scheduled for Thursday, July 3. Representatives from Main Street Trenton and the Trenton Area Chamber of Commerce are also assisting with the efforts to put on the show, which will take place in the Rock Barn/North Central Missouri Fairgrounds area.
Any individual, organization, and/or business is encouraged to donate to this community-wide event. Trenton Elks Lodge No. 801 has made an initial donation of $2,500 toward the $6,500 needed to fund the show. The total amount covers the cost of the show and required insurance costs. Funds collected over and above the amount to pay for this year’s show will be placed in a fund for a fireworks show in 2026.
The Trenton Community Betterment Corporation, a recently formed community 501 (c)(3) organization, is being used to deposit the funds, and checks are to be made out to the corporation, with fireworks being listed on the subject line. Checks can be mailed to PO Box 254, Trenton, MO 64683 (the PO Box address of the Trenton Rotary Club, which will be collecting the donations for deposit). Checks can also be given for deposit to Rotarians Scott Sharp, Jackie Soptic, Diane Lowrey, or Cole Soptic, who can also be contacted for more information about the July 3 event.
