State Farm Insurance - David Cochran

David Cochran is your Good Neighbor State Farm Insurance Agent offering personal, farm, and business insurance needs. Growing up in North Central MO, David has been a State Farm agent for over 25 years with 23 of those years in Trenton. State Farm® was founded in 1922 by retired farmer and insurance salesman George Jacob “G.J.” Mecherle. He knew farmers drove less and had fewer accidents than city folks. He thought they should pay less for automobile insurance. The insurance company G.J. worked for didn’t agree – and suggested he start his own company. That’s exactly what he did.

State Farm has over 100 different insurance products and financial services including Auto, Fire, Life, Health, as well as a full line of banking products to fit your needs. State Farm insures more cars than any other insurer in North America. They are also the leading U.S. home insurer. More than 17,000 agents and 68,000 employees serve over 75 million policies in the Unites States and Canada. In addition to State Farm’s size, in the current economic times it is important to know that State Farm is currently ranked No. 31 on the Fortune 500 list of largest companies, and the Department of insurance reports that State Farm has the lowest complaint ratio of any homeowners or auto insurance company in the entire state.

If you would like to talk to David and what his State Farm office can do for you, call 660-359-5662 or stop by his location anytime Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5pm at 2910 Oklahoma Ave in Trenton.

The agency is rich in heritage and enjoys over 100 years of experience between the three agents, and over 130 years of industry experience among the staff as a whole. Grundy County Museum

The Grundy County Museum presents the life experiences of its citizens through the tools, equipment, pictures, documents, appliances, weapons, symbols and technology displayed in three museum buildings. In these buildings you can feel the past as you read the accounts of our community’s history, touch 20th century tools/technology and envision the challenges faced by our parents and grandparents.

Museums are time machines where the past returns when we take the time to closely examine the equipment and technology found in homes and businesses as our forbearers worked and played when they were young. Some of the highlights of the Grundy County Museum include: a fur trader wooden dugout canoe that was dug out of the Thompson River near Spickard where it was buried for nearly 300 years, a vintage Rock Island caboose, the Baker School, which is a fully restored one-room school house, several Native American artifacts, the Annex Building’s Military room where campaign ribbons, medals, uniforms, weapons, pictures, books and newspaper headlines tell of the sacrifices made by our armed forces from the Revolutionary War to Iraq, and many more interesting exhibits showing the rich history of Grundy County. Also, starting August 6th and lasting for a 6 weeks, the New Harmonies Smithsonian exhibition will be showcased at the museum.

Grundy County’s history can be experienced weekends and holidays 2 – 5p May through October and by special arrangement. Visit the museum at 1100 Mable Street or the website at www.grundycountymuseum.org.

Through the years, the meaning of PDQ has evolved to encompass its long-lasting meaning—“People Delivering Quality” cleaning services for the Green Hills area.

Graceland University - NCMC site

Graceland University first started offering classes through North Central Missouri College in 1992 when they started offering their first elementary education classes. Graceland University is sponsored by the Community of Christ and their main campus is located in Lamoni, Iowa.

Graceland at NCMC offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Reading and they also offer a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration/Organizational Leadership double major. To achieve the double major, students must take specific classes at NCMC or other colleges and then finish their junior and senior level courses by taking classes two nights per week in either 8 or 9 week terms.

One big reason why so many people choose Graceland’s programs is because they can stay here in Trenton to take their classes. They are located right on NCMC’s campus on Monday and Wednesday evenings, which make it convenient for everyone.

For more information on programs or any other questions, please feel free to contact Site Director and Academic Advisor here in Trenton, Jeanie Gibson. Her phone number is 660-359-3948 ext: 1288, or you can email her at cjgibson@graceland.edu.
