The Trenton License Office is implementing a new reward system. When customers come in, they have an opportunity to fill out a comment card noting the level of service they receive. These cards will be entered into a drawing each quarter for a $10 Visa gift card. Who couldn’t use a FREE ten bucks? We strongly encourage customers to fill out the cards and include their name and phone number so we have a way to contact them if they are a winner. Quarterly drawings will be held beginning March 31, 2014.

Effective December 23rd, 2013, the Trenton License Office is open from 8:00am until 5:00pm. In years past, the office has closed at 4:30pm. The office will continue to remain open during the lunch hour as it has in the past. This change will remain permanent. Please remember that the County Courthouse (for Property Tax purposes) still closes at 4:30pm. We hope this change will better serve our customers.

As of February 28th, 2013, the driver licensing procedures in the Trenton License Office changed slightly to meet the new requirements of the Department of Revenue. When you come in to get a new permit, license or ID and/or renew your permit, license or ID, you will, once again, need to bring your state certified birth certificate OR passport, proof of residence (utility bill, voter registration card, bank statement, personal property tax receipt, renewal card, etc.) and proof of name change if your name differs from what’s on your birth certificate (marriage license or social security card with new name; however, if the name on a presented passport matches the name on the driver license, this verification is not required). You will receive a temporary license when your transaction is complete and your permanent license will be mailed to you. Should you not receive your license within three (3) weeks, you will need to contact our office immediately. Once your temporary license expires and you have no permanent license, you will have to pay for the license again.
Please be kind to the license office staff, as they do not make the rules, but do have to follow them. For more information, you can visit www.dor.mo.gov.

There is no place like home for the holidays. Christmas trees and decorated homes are found throughout the town, store windows adorned with holiday displays create the spirit of giving, and each of our churches reminds us of the real reason for the season. The only thing missing from this beautiful setting are attractive decorations to line the main streets of Trenton.
A committee has been formed and has selected four styles of illuminated snowflakes that will alternate with brightly colored red banners accented with miniature snowflakes and mounted on the utility poles. These will replace the existing decorations which are no longer attractive. Christmas 2012 and many years to come will be remembered with festive decorations making Trenton extra special for the holidays.
Banners will be purchased in two different styles for $55 and $75 each. The lighted snowflakes will cost $250 each and together these decorations will cost nearly $15,000 for a total of 125 decorations throughout the main traffic route of town. The committee greatly appreciates all contributions from businesses and individuals alike. This is also a wonderful opportunity to remember a loved one with a memorial donation honoring individuals for many years to come.
Please make your tax deductible contribution to the Trenton Area Chamber of commerce at 617 Main Street in Trenton and mark your donation for “Holiday Decorations”.
