The Chamber of Commerce hosts Community Pride Week each year toward the end of April. The dates this year are April 28th through May 3rd. The community is encouraged to clean up around their homes and neighborhoods during that week. Activities such as picking up trash, mowing lawns, picking weeds and planting flowers can be accomplished during this week.
Prior to Community Pride Week, the Chamber also hosts a Community Wide Garage Sale day. The Garage Sales will be held Saturday, April 26th. Most sales begin at 8am and continue throughout the day. Sales are held rain or shine. More information will be provided as it becomes available.
If you have any questions or want to know how you can get involved in either of these events, please contact the Chamber by phone at 660-359-4324 or by email.

Great News! If you know anyone in the Amish, Mennonite or German Baptist communities, be sure to let them know that our office is now able to process their IDs and/or driver licenses with no photo. They no longer have to drive several hours to have these items processed. As with all other customers, they need to bring with them proof of address (a bill with their name on it, bank statement, voter registration card or property tax receipt).

The Trenton License Office wishes to thank all of our patrons. We appreciate the nice comments we receive on a daily basis regarding our customer service.
We are pleased to announce that the Chamber has been awarded the contract for the License Bureau once again. The contract will run through May 2018.
The Department of Revenue (DOR) has decided to limit the number of motor vehicle workstations in license offices that do not process a minimum certain number of transactions. Since we are a smaller office, we fell below the minimum number. Therefore, the DOR will be disconnecting one of our motor vehicle stations as of the close of business on Friday, February 28th. This means we will be left with only one computer to process your motor vehicle transactions, which includes titling and licensing.
Please rest assured, in order to serve you better, the Chamber has ordered another computer and printer. However, this computer has to be built before it can be shipped. We expect to be without our second workstation for about two weeks and we ask that you exercise patience if you come in and we are busy. We will work as fast and as efficiently as we can to make sure you are in and out in a reasonable amount of time. Keep in mind that each transaction is different and there could be time-consuming issues for reasons beyond our control.
To help speed up your transaction for renewing your license plates, please read the little blue renewal card you receive (if you receive one) as it tells you each item you need to bring with you to renew your plates. For passenger vehicles (cars and light-weight trucks), the general rule for inspections is if the vehicle is more than five (5) years old, EVEN year vehicles require inspection every EVEN year, ODD year vehicles require inspection every ODD year. You will also need your current insurance card for the vehicle you are licensing, as well as the previous two years’ personal property tax receipts (the white copy).
If you have any questions, please feel free to call us at 660-359-4324 ext. 2.

March Merchant Madness tickets are available for a $20 donation to the Chamber. Participants have 31 chances to win some amazing gift certificates to local businesses EVERY DAY in MARCH. If the winner for that day chooses not to take the gift certificate to the business listed for that day, they can choose to take the cash value listed instead. For example, if ticket number 364 is drawn on March 16th, the holder of ticket 364 has the choice of a $300 gift certificate to Trenton Hardware OR $225 in cash.
Winners are selected by random drawing every day in March. Winners will be notified within 48 hours of drawing. There will be no substitutions; prizes awarded as listed. If ticket number drawn was not sold, no prize will be given that day.
You can contact the Chamber at 660-359-4324 for more details and to get your tickets purchased. You can purchase tickets from any board member or ambassador as well. Those names are listed on our home page. Best of luck to you! We hope you are a winner!

The Trenton License Office is implementing a new reward system. When customers come in, they have an opportunity to fill out a comment card noting the level of service they receive. These cards will be entered into a drawing each quarter for a $10 Visa gift card. Who couldn’t use a FREE ten bucks? We strongly encourage customers to fill out the cards and include their name and phone number so we have a way to contact them if they are a winner. Quarterly drawings will be held beginning March 31, 2014.

Effective December 23rd, the Trenton License Office will be open from 8:00am until 5:00pm. In years past, the office has closed at 4:30pm. The office will continue to remain open during the lunch hour as it has in the past. This change will remain permanent. Please remember that the County Courthouse (for Property Tax purposes) still closes at 4:30pm. We hope this change will better serve our customers.

As of today, February 28th, the driver licensing procedures in the Trenton License Office have changed slightly to meet the new requirements of the Department of Revenue. When you come in to get a new permit, license or ID and/or renew your permit, license or ID, you will, once again, need to bring your state certified birth certificate OR passport, proof of residence (utility bill, voter registration card, bank statement, etc.) and proof of name change if your name differs from what’s on your birth certificate (marriage license or social security card with new name; however, if the name on a presented passport matches the name on the driver license, this verification is not required). These verification documents must be scanned. You will receive a temporary license when your transaction is complete and your permanent license will be mailed to you. Should you not receive your license within three (3) weeks, you will need to contact our office immediately. Once your temporary license expires and you have no permanent license, you will have to pay for the license again.
Please be kind to the license office staff, as they do not make the rules, but do have to follow them. For more information, you can visit www.dor.mo.gov.
