Poker Run

The Chamber hosts a “Jailbreak” Poker Run each year in late summer. Many folks come out to enjoy a motorcycle ride through northern Missouri while collecting a poker hand at designated stops along the route. At the end of the route, there is usually a catered meal and door prizes. If your poker hand wins, you get $500 CASH. Worst hand gets $50.

This year’s poker run, scheduled for September 9th, will be taking approximately a 100-mile scenic route in northern Missouri. Riders/Drivers will begin the route in Trenton at Sunnyview Nursing Home then travel west to Cameron to get their cards stamped at McCorkle’s. Next stop is in Braymer at the Busy Bee Cafe, then on to Chillicothe where they will get a stamp from Royal Inn Pizza. Finally, traveling back to Trenton to make a stop at Hy-Vee Wine & Spirits for a stamp, then on to the Rock Barn for a fish fry. Poker hands will be played after the meal at the Trenton Elks Lodge. Winning hand receives $500 cash prize. Fees to join in this fun ride are $25 per single rider and $40 per couple (on same motorcycle). Fee includes poker hand and fish fry meal with Rotary Club. Registration begins at 12:00pm at the old Grundy County Jail on 8th Street across from the Courthouse (700 Main Street). Kickstands up at 1:00pm.
