The Chamber hosts a “Jailbreak” Poker Run each year in late summer. Many folks come out to enjoy a motorcycle ride through northern Missouri while collecting a poker hand at designated stops along the route. At the end of the route, there is usually a catered meal and door prizes. Of course, if your poker hand wins, you get 50% of the net proceeds collected.
This year’s poker run, scheduled for September 12th, will be taking a 100-mile scenic route in northern Missouri. Stops will be listed at a later date. Fees to join in this fun ride are $25 per single rider and $40 per couple (on same motorcycle). Fee includes poker hand and catered meal at the end of the run. Registration begins at 1:00pm at the old Grundy County Jail on 8th Street across from the Courthouse (700 Main Street). Riders returning after the run will end at Black Silo Winery where a catered meal will be provided along with a live band!
T-shirts will be available for purchase again this year. Design is yet to be determined.
