The Chamber hosts a “Jailbreak” Poker Run each year in late summer. Many folks come out to enjoy a motorcycle ride through northern Missouri while collecting a poker hand at designated stops along the route. At the end of the route, there is usually a catered meal and door prizes. Of course, if your poker hand wins, you get 50% of the net proceeds collected.
This year’s poker run, scheduled for September 1st, will be taking a scenic route from Trenton with stops in Jamesport, Gallatin, Bethany, Princeton and ending back in Trenton. Fees to join in this fun ride are $20 per single rider and $30 per couple (on same motorcycle). Fee includes poker hand, souvenir photo and catered meal at the end of the run. Registration begins at 9:00am at the old Grundy County Jail on 8th Street across from the Courthouse (700 Main Street). Riders returning after the run will end at Trenton Coca-Cola Bottling Plant where a catered lunch will be provided along with their souvenir pictures and prizes.
